We have had three days with Karen, and caught up with many family members at the Funeral. It has been an ideal chance to reflect and recharge the batteries.
Siana, our nearly 8 yr old great niece has grown up so much since the last visit (5 yrs ago). She was delighted with the pink and purple monkey, how did I know they were her favourite colours? A very chatty young lady these days, but of course I only "get" every third or fourth word.
We head out in about an hour, taking Ray (Andy's brother) to the Airport on the way. Then on to Hawick to catch up with Cousin Pearl and off to Aunty Betty's overnight in Gretna. Andy has become a bit of a sensation in the kitchen over here. We are delighting in shopping at the local supermarket and turning it into yummy dinners. Last night a pork roast and veges followed by red wine poached pears, went down well I can assure you.
I haven't been tempted to the dark side yet for the Haggis.
Should be able to get some good shots of the countryside today, our itinerary for the next few days will include York, Hull and Manchester. Unfortunately our friends in Norwich are away at the moment, so we will have to catch them next time, when we come back for Steven's wedding. No date set yet, probably about 18 months away I would say.
Bye for now, Andy and Kerrie

Hi Kerrie,
ReplyDeleteWow what an adventure you are on; enjoying following along :)
Hi Nayomie, glad you are back on deck, heard you were "ill".
ReplyDeleteSounds like you might have fun getting a plane out because of the Icelandic volcano.
