Scotland

We drove up to Scotland yesterday with Steven (youngest son), a short 5 hr trip on the M6 motorway. Sadly, we are here for a funeral, Andy's brother-in-law died shortly before we left Australia, so it certainly is a gathering of the clans. Karen is very happy to see us.

Our plans are to put Steven on the train back to Birmingham tomorrow and we will stay another night. Andy's brother is here also, so we will take him back to the airport on Sunday. We will then wander off to Carlisle - which is about 1 hrs drive from here and visit more family members.

We did meet the delightful Poppy yesterday, our 2yr old great niece who is an absolutely delicious dollop of Scottish cuteness. Red hair, blue eyes, and the Scots accent, what more can you ask for? Yes I made her a monkey which went off to bed with her. Photos will follow.
